ABOUT US
Red Gate Arena Farm started life as an arena to do dog sports. Both Irene & Larry had competed in many dog sport venues and decided to build and open the facility to the public. The facility was open for many years before it was scaled back and sheep were brought in to fill the arena instead of people and their dogs. Katahdin sheep breeding stock and lamb and goat freezer orders are now sold. A variety of ornamental poultry, ducks and peafowl are also kept and sold, free-range eggs are available during the summer months. While the sheep and birds are still a major focus, Larry's interest in draft horses grew into a new venture of giving horse drawn rides. This business has continued to grow to encompass two teams of draft horses, 3 wagons, a sleigh and a carriage. Our attention to detail and friendly, professional attitude is carried over in all our endeavours.
Our current dogs don't compete in dog sports but just love coming out with us to the arena and hanging out with the horses and other animals.
